The Tata Institute of Social Sciences popularly known TISS has issued the notification for PG Admissions for the year 2023. Tata Institute of Social Sciences is one of the oldest, premier reputed Institutions in India in the field of Social Sciences. TISS has announced admissions for the 2023-25 batch through TISS NATIONAL ENTRANCE TEST (TISS-NET). Through TISS-NET admissions will be granted for Full-Time (Regular) Post-Graduate Degree Programmes M.A., M.Sc., MHA., MPH, LAW. These courses are offered from Mumbai, Tuljapur, Guwahati, and Hyderabad campuses.

TISS PG Eligibility Minimum Educational Qualification

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree of minimum of 3 or 4 years duration or its equivalent, under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study
  2. Completed the mandatory requirements of 15 years of formal education from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India
  3. Candidates who will complete the degree by June 13, 2023, are also eligible to apply. But these candidates have to submit the certificate latest by August 31, 2023. If a candidate fails to submit the certificate by this deadline, then their admission will be canceled.

TISS Admissions 2023

Tata Institute of Social Sciences TISS Admissions to Masters (Master of Arts / Master of Science / B.Ed-M.Ed Integrated) Programmes will be done in Two Stages.

1. Tata Institue of Social Sciences TISS National Entrance Test (TISS-NET)

2. TISS Online Assessments (OA)

Stage 1: TISS-NET (TISS National Entrance Test)

a. Computer-based common screening test for all campuses

b. 100 objective type MCQ  with 100 marks

c. Based on the candidate’s aggregate TISS-NET score, candidates will be short-listed for State-II

d. There will not be any Negative Marking in TISS NET for any program.

e. TISS-NET will be conducted in English.

f. Duration of the test – 2 pm to 3.40 pm (1 hour & 40 minutes)

Stage 2:

a. Stage 2 of the selection process details will be updated by TISS soon

b. Short-listed candidates will be called for the second round of OA (OPI). It will be in the month of April 2023

c. OA (OPI) will be conducted separately for each program

d. Online Assessment (OA) for approximately 20 – 30 minutes by a three-member panel

e. It will assess the candidates’ suitability and interest in studies and in the chosen program

Final Merit List preparation for the Tata Institute of Social Sciences TISS PG Admissions

1.    Open (Unreserved) Merit List (OML) will be based on aggregate marks obtained by the candidates for a specific program without reservations.
