NEET PG 2023 is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination, a mandatory single entrance examination for admission to various Medical Post Graduate Courses like MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses.
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will be conducting the NEET-PG 2023 as a Computer Based Test at various test centers across the country.
The NEET PG exam will be conducted on 5th March 2023 throughout the Country.

NEET PG 2023 Eligibility Criteria
A. Indian Nationals
- Candidates in possession of an MBBS Degree
- Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the NMC Act, 2019 and the repealed Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and possessing a permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the NMC/ the erstwhile Medical Council of India or State Medical Council and have completed one year of internship or are likely to complete the internship on or before 31st March 2023, may apply for NEET PG 2023 through online application system at the official website.
B. Foreign Medical Graduates
- Indian citizens or overseas citizens of India who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualifications from Medical Colleges outside India should have qualified the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (Screening Test) as per Screening Test Regulations, 2002 which is conducted by National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences.
AND
- They should have been registered with the NMC/ the erstwhile Medical Council of India or State Medical Council and should have completed their internship or likely to complete their internship on or before 31st March 2023.
C. Foreign Nationals
- The Foreign Nationals shall have basic Medical Qualifications equivalent to MBBS and should be recognized by the National Medical Commission.
- They should have security clearance from he Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India at the time of applying for NEET PG 2023.
NEET PG 2023 Scheme of Examination
- NEET PG 2023 shall be conducted in a single day & single session as a computer-based examination on 5th March 2023.
- The examination shall be a multiple-choice computer-based test
- The exam comprises 200 Multiple Choice Questions with each question having 4 response options/ distractors in the English language only.
- Candidates are required to select the correct/best/most appropriate response/answer out of the 4 response options provided in each question.
- The time allotted is 3 hrs 30 minutes.
- For a Correct Response, there will be 4 marks
- For Incorrect Response, 1 mark will be DEDUCTED
- For Unattempted Questions, there will be ZERO Marks

NEET PG 2023 Admit Card, Test Day Procedures
- Admit cards shall be made live on National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences website on 27 February 2023.
- Admit cards will not be issued to candidates found ineligible before the conduct of the examination.
- Candidates will be informed through SMS/Email alerts and website notices regarding the availability of the admit card on NBEMS website.
- Admit card will not be sent to the candidates by Post/Email.
- Candidates are required to download their admit card from the NBEMS website and affix firmly their recent (not more than 3 months old) passport-size photograph in the space provided on the admit card
Test Day Procedures
- Candidates must report at the ‘Reporting Counter’ of the test venue at the time indicated in their admit cards.
- To avoid crowding at the test venue entry, there will be staggered time slots for candidates to report.
- The reporting counter will close 30 minutes prior to the test start time.
- This will allow time for security checks, identity verification, and checking in for examination.
- Candidates reporting late or beyond the prescribed time shall not be allowed to appear in the exam under any circumstances.
- NBEMS shall not be responsible for any delayed arrival of the candidate reaching the center due to any reason.
- The exact address and location of the test centers shall be indicated on the admit card.
- Candidates are advised to familiarise themselves with the test center locations at least one day prior to the examination day and ensure that they report for the exam at per scheduled time only.
- The candidate will flash the admit card and ID proof for verification to the exam functionary standing across the table with a barcode/QR code reader.
- The candidate shall be informed about the assigned lab number.
- The candidates shall bring the following to the examination center:
a. Printed copy of Barcoded/QR Coded Admit card with his/her recent colored photograph pasted on it.
b. Photocopy of Permanent / Provisional SMC/MCI/NMC registration*, to be retained by the test centre
c. Any one of the Govt issued Original Valid Photo IDs as indicated here:
