1. At least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree (i.e., M.A., M.Sc., M.Com, MBA, MLISC, M.Ed., M.PEd., MCJ, LLM, MCA and M.Tech (CSE & IT only)) are eligible to apply.
2. In the case of the BC/SC/ST/Persons with Disability (PwD)/Transgender candidates at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in the Master’s Degree
3. Candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s Degree (final year) also may apply. But, these candidates must complete their Master’s Degree examination within TWO years from the date of SET result with the required percentage of marks.
4. The Ph.D. Degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e., from 55% to 50%) for appearing in SET.

TS SET 2022 Age Limit

There is no age limit for applying and appearing for the TS SET 2022 Examination.

TS SET 2022 Scheme of Examination

There will be Two papers, and the examination is of 3 hours duration. These Two papers will be consisting of objective-type questions, and computer-based tests will be conducted on these two papers.

TS SET 2022 Paper-I

• Paper, I will be having 50 objective-type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks.
• Intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate.
• Mainly focussed to test the reasoning ability, Comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness of the candidate.

Paper-II:

• 100 objective-type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks on the selected subject.
• All the questions of Paper II will be compulsory, covering entire syllabi

TS SET 2022 Procedure & Criteria for Result Declaration

Step-I: The number of candidates to be qualified (total slots) for Eligibility for Assistant Professor shall be equal to 6% of the candidates who appeared in both the papers of TS-SET.

Step-II: The total slots shall be allocated to different categories as per the reservation policy of the Government of Telangana.

What is the TS SET exam?

Osmania University is conducting the TS SET 2022 on behalf of the Government of Telangana,  for eligibility determination of the candidates for the Assistant Professor/Lecturer. The exam will be conducted in the month of March 2023.

What is the upper age limit for TS SET?

There is no upper age limit for the candidates to apply and paper for the Telangana State Eligibility Test TS SET 2022.

Is TS SET 2022 Notification out?

The TS SET 2022 Notification has been issued by Osmania University. The TS SET exam will be conducted by Osmania University. The exam will be held in 1st or 2nd Week of March 2023 in 29 subjects. The application shall be submitted online at the official website at http://telanganaset.org/  from 30-12-2022 to 20-01-2023.

Candidates appearing fro PG exam also eligible for appearing TS SET 2022?

Yes. Candidates appearing for the PG Exams are also eligible to apply and appear for the TS SET 2022 Examination. However, these candidates must complete their Master’s Degree examination within TWO years from the date of SET result with the required percentage of marks.

How many times set exam is conducted in a year in Telangana?

The Last State Level Eligibility Test was conducted in the year 2018. After 4 years the Government of Telangana has issued the notification through Osmania University for the TS SET 2022. Its a good opportunity for the Post Graduate Qualified candidates for appearing and getting qualified in the SET to enhance their opportunities as Assistant Professor/Lecturer.
