10th, ITI Apprentice Recruitment
The Southern Railway has given the Notification for the Recruitment of 3154 vacancies of 10th, ITI Apprentices in various Trades. These apprentice vacancies are to be filled with 10th, ITI passed candidates. The last date for the Application is 31-10-2022. This recruitment is for engagement as Apprentices for imparting training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 in the designated trades at various Divisions/Workshops/Units in the jurisdiction of Southern Railway.
the contract of the apprenticeship will be terminated on completion of training. However, 20% of the vacancies in direct recruitment to post in Level 1 may be filled giving preference to Course completed act apprentices (CCAAs) trained in railway establishments and possessing National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).

Note: i) Minimum 50% marks in X std are not applicable for SC/ST/PwBD Candidates.
ii) Course Completed Act Apprentices, Engineering Graduates or Diploma Holder or Vocational Certificate holders who had training or job experience for one year or more after attaining these qualifications are NOT eligible for being engaged as trade apprentices under the Act Apprentice Rules 1992.

b) Ex.ITI Category:
In respect of Ex.ITI candidates, a rebate in the duration of training will be given as per the Schedule-I of Apprentices Rules 1992, as amended from time to time.

Apprentice Recruitment in Southern Railway Age Limit
The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should NOT have completed 22/24 years for Freshers/Ex-ITI, and MLT respectively.
The Upper age is relaxable up to 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST candidates, and 10 Years for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD).
Processing Fee for Apprentice Recruitment in Southern Railway
Rs.100/- to be paid through ONLINE MODE. No fee is required to be paid by SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates.
Engagement & Contract for Apprentice Recruitment in Southern Railway
Selection will be on the basis of the merit list prepared in respect of all the candidates who apply against the notification. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the percentage of marks in matriculation (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) + ITI marks in the trade in which Apprentice is to be done.
The selected ITI/Non-ITI (Freshers) candidates have to execute a contract of apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act 1961. In the event of selection the candidates should register his/her details in the Apprenticeship portal http://apprenticeship.gov.in – Apprenticeship – candidates Registration and report at concerned units with apprenticeship Registration ID.
