NIIFT Mohali
Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology NIIFT Mohali, is a Government of Punjab initiative, and the Institute is affiliated with IKG Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala, Punjab.
The department of Industries & Commerce, Govt. of Punjab, in the year 1995 established the Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology. In view of the need for trained professionals in the arena of the Textile and Garment Industry, the Government of Punjab has entered an MOU with the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi. Under this MOU, the NIFT will support and steer the admission procedure, faculty recruitment, and training as well as curriculum scheduling and upgrading.
NIIFT Mohali is established in an area where the garment industry is already well established at Baddi, Lalru, Dera Bassi, and in the vicinity of Chandigarh. Hence Mohali became a preferred location for NIIFT to have its firm base and thus adding to the prestige and distinction of the famous city.
NIIFT, in August 2008, achieved another milestone, by opening a new center in Ludhiana.
NIIFT was set up in Jalandhar in the year 2009. The aim is to make students more competent in the industry and to offer better facilities, NIIFT Jalandhar is ready with its new setup at Guru Gobind Singh Avenue. NIIFT Jalandhar has a state-of-the-art infrastructure that accomplishes all the requirements of the industry. The goal of NIIFT Jalandhar is to give aspirants a holistic understanding of the fashion industry, offering job opportunities in various Fashion related fields.

How to Apply to NIIFT Mohali
- Applications are invited through online mode only for admission in NIIFT in Academic Session 2023-24.

- Application Fee: 1750/- for General Category candidates
- Rs.440/- for SC/ST /PHP Category candidates
- Candidates belonging to General Category are required to make a payment of Rs.1750/-.
- The payment can be made by either direct online payment through credit card / Debit card/ net banking/UPI or in form of a Demand Draft of Rs.1750/- in favor of NIIFT Mohali.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST / PHP Category are required to make a payment of Rs.440/-.
- Fill out the form online and send a printout of the filled-in form along with a photograph pasted on it and a demand draft ( if applicable) to The Manager CMS, All India Management Association, Management House, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-11000 latest 31-03-2023.
- NIIFT reserves the right to reject incomplete application forms
- NIIFT will reject all the applications received after the last date and no communications will be entertained in this.
- The institute will not be responsible for delay or loss of form in correspondence through postal transit or by courier.
- Before starting to fill up the on-line application, the candidate has to keep ready the following details/documents / Information

- Image of scanned photograph in jpg/jpeg format and size should not exceed 50 KB and not less than 5KB

- Pay the application fee through online mode or make a demand draft in favor of “NIIFT Mohali”, payable at Mohali
- Keep a copy of the certificate of SC/ST/PHP proof
NIIFT Mohali Admission Criteria
For Undergraduate Programmes:
- Offline Entrance Test will be conducted for Admissions in all Undergraduate Programmes offered by NIIFT.
- Seats will be allotted on a Merit basis.
- The final Merit of marks will be compiled on the weightage based on offline Examination.
Weightage of written Examination, Situation Test, and Interview
Written Exam : 60% weightage of 125 marks
Situation Test : 20% weightage of 20 marks
Interview : 20% weightage of 20 Marks.

Postgraduate Programmes at NIIFT Mohali
- Admissions in Post Graduate Programmes at NIIFT Mohali is open for eligible candidates
- The admission is without Entrance Test.
- Admission is on the basis of interse-merit of qualifying examination and interview
- Provisional Admission to Post Graduate Courses will be allowed subject to submission of pass result of qualifying examination by 31-07-2023 or any extended last date given by the University for eligibility check of students.

NIIFT Mohali Reservation of Seats
- A weightage of 5% in marks shall be given to students of Punjab Domicile who have studied at least three years or have passed 11th and 12th from schools located in rural areas.
- 85% of seats will be reserved for candidates from within the Punjab State
- 15% will be open to candidates on an All-India basis.
