NTA will be conducting the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE)-2023 for admission to Class VI and Class IX in 33 Sainik Schools across the country, for the academic year 2023-24. AISSEE Full Form is All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. NTA is an independent/autonomous, self-reliant, and self-sustained premier testing organization of India.
Sainik Schools are English medium residential schools affiliated to CBSE. They prepare cadets to join the National Defence Academy, Indian Naval Academy and other Training Academies, for Officers.
AISSEE 2023
The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has approved 18 New Sainik Schools, which operate in partnership with NGOs/private schools/State Governments. These approved New Sainik Schools function under the aegis of the Sainik Schools Society. Admission to the Sainik School stream of Class VI of the New Sainik Schools, for the academic year 2023-24 is also through AISSEE 2023.
AISSEE 2023 covers admission to Class VI and Class IX of the Sainik Schools and Class VI of the New Sainik Schools for the academic year 2023-24. Admission is based on the performance of candidates in the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE).

Passing Marks For Admission AISSEE 2023
A candidate is eligible for admission to the Sainik Schools if he/ she secures a minimum of 25% marks in each subject of the exam and 40% marks in aggregate of all the subjects of AISSEE 2023. However, admission will be based on e- counseling as per the merit list of AISSEE – 2023, medical fitness, and verification of requisite documents. However, no minimum marks are prescribed for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe category.
How To Apply For AISSEE 2023
Interested candidates can apply for AISSEE 2023, online only at the AISSEE NTA NIC IN official website by CHECKING HERE.
Step I: Registration Page
- Candidate’s Name/Mother’s Name/Father’s Name as in the school records. Date of Birth in dd/mm/yyyy format as recorded in date of birth certificate/school records
- Identification Type: Candidates need to provide any one of the following identity details: School ID card or PAN Card or Aadhaar Number (last 4 digits), or Passport Number or any other Photo Identity Card issued by Government.
- Mobile Number and e-mail Address: Candidates must provide Mobile Number or email address (their own or that of their parents)
- Provide complete postal address with PIN Code (Correspondence and Permanent address) for further correspondence.
Step II: Fill in the complete Application Form
Select the Choice of School from the list given.
Select the Choice of Examination Cities from the list given.
Uploading of scanned images – Candidate’s Photograph: to be uploaded, Candidate Signature and Left Thumb Impression to be uploaded, Upload Domicile Certificate/Residence Certificate, Category Certificate, and those studying in approved New Sainik schools are required to upload a certificate from their School where they are currently studying.
Step III: Payment of Fee and Status of receipt of Online Application Form with Fee
After completing Step II of the online Application Form, candidates may remit the examination fee. Fee can be paid by using Debit/Credit Card/Net-banking/UPI- Mode of Payment and Service Provider (Service/Processing charges per transaction & GST (as applicable) to be paid by the candidate) and complete the steps as instructed.
Print the Confirmation Page after completion of payment of the fee. Generation of Confirmation Page confirms final submission of Application Form.
AISSEE 2023 Online Application through Common Service Centres csc
There are more than 1.5 lakhs Common Services Centres (CSC) across the country which will provide the desired support to candidates from urban as well as rural areas in the online submission of application forms and payment of fees through e-wallet. The list of the Common Services Centre is available on the website: www.csc.gov.in.
AISSEE Admit Card
The AISSEE Admit Card is issued provisionally to the candidates, subject to the fulfillment of the eligibility conditions.
The AISSEE NTA NIC Admit card will be hosted on the AISSEE NTA website https://aissee.nta.nic.in 15 days prior to the date of the exam.
The candidate has to Check, Save and Print the Admit Card from the NTA website using their application number and date of birth and appear for the Examination at the given Centre on the Date and Timing as indicated in his/her Admit Card.
Candidate may please note that Admit Card will not be sent by post.
AISSEE Result 2023
The National Testing Agency will evaluate the Answer Sheets using standard procedure and declare the results. The respective mark sheet can be saved by individual candidates through their login on the website https://aissee.nta.nic.in. The date of declaration of the result will be hosted on the NTA website.
Results will be published by NTA on its website. They will also be published on the website of the respective schools. Candidates will be informed through email and SMS about it. Therefore candidates are advised not to call the NTA Help Desk or the concerned school to find out about the date or the results.
Validity of the Result AISSEE 2023
The validity of the result of AISSEE 2023 shall be only for the current admission year i.e., 2023- 24 academic year for Class VI and Class IX, and cannot be carried forward for the next session of admission for Class VI and Class IX.
OMR Sheets of aissee.nta.nic.in
- NTA will display the scanned images of OMR Answer Sheets and recorded responses by the machine, of all the candidates, at https://aissee.nta.nic.in. The exact date of display of scanned images of OMR Answer Sheets would be communicated after the examination on the NTA website.
- Applicants are advised to visit the website https://aissee.nta.nic.in for viewing and saving the images of the OMR Answer Sheet by the candidates.
AISSEE Answer Key 2023
- The NTA will display the provisional Answer Key of the questions, giving an opportunity to the candidates to challenge, them in case of any doubt in the answer key on the website https://aissee.nta.nic.in.
- Candidates will be given an opportunity to make the online challenge, within a specified period, against the provisional Answer Key on payment of a non-refundable processing fee of Rs.200/-per answer challenged.
AISSEE NTA NIC IN Merit List
NTA will prepare the following Merit Lists and host them on NTA website.
- School-wise and category-wise merit list (separately for boys and girls and for Class VI and Class IX).
- All India Merit List for admission to approved New Sainik Schools for admission under 40% route.
- School-wise Merit List for admission to approved New Sainik Schools for admission under 60% route for admission to each of the approved New Sainik schools
- The admission of candidates to the existing 33 Sainik schools as well as approved New Sainik schools (under the 40% route and 60% route) will be carried out on the basis of e- counseling as per the merit in AISSEE 2023.
- Candidates are required to register on https://sainikschool.ncog.gov.in/ecounselling for e- counseling post-declaration of results by NTA.
