Nearly Half of India’s population, more than 600 million are of the age of around 25 years. Reliance Foundation with a view to improving India’s younger generations’ access to education, has come up with the Reliance Foundation Scholarship program for the 2022-2023 year.
Reliance Foundation Scholarship for Undergraduates
The Reliance Foundation Scholarship for Undergraduates will support up to 5000 merit students. It is aimed at providing merit-cum-means support for their undergraduate education. This scholarship will empower them to continue their studies without any financial worries.
This scholarship will enable the students to focus fully on their studies and will enable them to become successful professionals which in turn will contribute to the development of the country.
Reliance Foundation Scholarship is for those Students who have a household income of less than Rs.15 lakh, and are pursuing first-year undergraduate courses. Girls students and specially-abled students are encouraged to apply.
The selected students will receive up to Rs.2 Lakhs during the tenure of the undergraduate course. They will also have the opportunity to be part of the vibrant alumni network and an enabling support system that will create a long-term impact on their lives and career trajectories.

Application and Selection Process
Steps in the Application and Selection Process
- Application Form: Desirous students can apply by filling out an online application form. They have to submit their Personal and Contact Information, Academic Info, Achievements, awards, Supporting Documents
- Aptitude Test: An online Aptitude Test will be conducted with a duration of 60 mins and will contain 60 Multiple Choice Questions.
Components of the test include verbal ability, analytical and logical ability, and numerical ability.
- Initial Selection: During the First Level of Selection, Applications will be evaluated using a combination of aptitude test scores, and academic and personal information.
- Announcement: Announcement of Scholars – Up to 5,000 scholars. All candidates will be evaluated on the basis of merit cum means. Selection of Scholars will be announced in March 2023.
Eligibility Criteria Reliance Foundation Scholarship for Undergraduates
- Be a resident Indian citizen
- Passed Standard 12th with a minimum of 60% and is attending a full-time undergraduate degree program In India
- Students having House Hold income of less than Rs. 15 Lakhs (preference given to < Rs. 2.5 Lakhs)

Reliance Foundation Scholarships for Postgraduates
The Reliance Foundation Scholarships for Postgraduates will try to identify the creat of talent, which will empower India’s growth in the new era of digital India. Through this scholarship program, the aim is to identify the talent pool of youngsters who can think big, think green, and think digital for the benefit of society.
Scholarships Features
- Nurturing India’s future leaders who can think big, think green, and think digital for the benefit of society.
- The aim is to identify and select the best and brightest students in India through a rigorous and competitive selection process.
- Applications from all socio-economic backgrounds are welcomed
- The selection is purely on the basis of merit.
- Up to 100 postgraduate scholars will be selected.
- Up to Rs. 6 Lakhs will be disbursed to the selected candidates during the post-graduate degree program.
- 80% of the funds will be granted in advance at the start of each academic year. This amount can be utilized for tuition and direct academic expenses.
- The remaining 20% of the funds will be granted for indirect academic and personal development expenses, including conference-related expenses.
- Scholars have the opportunity for additional engagement and development activities.
- Scholars have the chance to attend talks and workshops with leading global experts
- Opportunities exist for applying for mentoring/internships, volunteering opportunities, and networking with a strong alumni network.

Eligibility Criteria Reliance Foundation Scholarship for Post Graduates
- Be a resident Indian citizen
- Postgraduate Scholarship: First-year PG Students who secured a score of 550 – 1,000 in the GATE Examination.
OR
Students who have not attempted GATE but have scored 7.5 or above in their Undergraduate CGPA (or % normalized to CGPA) - Eligible degree programs – Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics & Computing, Electrical/or Electronics Engg., Chemical Engg., Mechanical Engg., Renewable & New Energy, Material, Science & Engg. and Life Sciences.
