Joint Entrance Examination
National Testing Agency is conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2023 Session 1 at different Centres located in 290 cities throughout the country. The examination is also conducted at 18 Cities Outside India on 24, 25, 29, 30, 31 January, and 1 February 2023 for B.E./B. Tech (Paper I) and 28 January (2nd Shift) for B.Arch and B.Planning (Paper 2A & Paper 2B).
The candidates have already been intimated about their city and their date of exam as well as their shift on 18.1.2023.
Joint Entrance Examination Release of Admit Card
Candidates who applied for the Joint Entrance Examination can check and save their Admit Cards from the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in w.e.f. 21.01.2023 (Saturday) for the first day of session 1 i.e 24 January (Tuesday).
How to Check and Save Joint Entrance Examination, Admit Card
- Candidates can check and save their admit card from the official website HERE.
- Enter the Application Number of the Candidate
- Enter the Date of Birth of the Candidate
- Enter the Security Pin shown
- Check and Save, take a print of the Admit Card
The admit cards of candidates for 25th January i.e day 2 will be released subsequently. Candidates are advised to check and save the Admit Card of Joint Entrance Examination (Main), 2023 Session 1 (using their Application No. and Date of Birth) along with the undertaking of JEE (Main) Session 1 – 2023 and go through the instructions contained therein.
In the case of some candidates, the images are blurred. Hence, their admit cards have not been released.
JEE Examination Scheme
3.1 Mode of Examination
JEE (Main) – 2023 will be conducted in the following modes:
a) Paper 1 (B.E. /B. Tech.) in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only.
b) Paper 2A (B. Arch): Mathematics (Part-I) and Aptitude Test (Part-II) in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only and Drawing Test (Part-III) in pen and paper (offline) mode, to be attempted on drawing sheet of A4 size.
c) Paper 2B (B. Planning): Mathematics (Part-I), Aptitude Test (Part-II), and Planning-Based Questions (Part-III) in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode only.
Documents to be carried to Test Centre on Examination Day
Candidates MUST bring the following documents on the day of the examination at the test center. Candidates who will not bring these will not be allowed to sit for the examination.
a. Print copy of Admit Card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in.
b. One passport size photograph (same as uploaded on the Online Application Form) for pasting on the specific space in the Attendance Sheet at Centre during the examination.
c. Any one of the authorized photo IDs (must be original, valid, and non-expired) –
School Identity Card/ PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/E-Aadhaar with photograph/ Ration Card with photograph/ Class 12 Board Admit Card with photograph/ Bank Passbook with Photograph.
d. PwD certificate issued by the authorized medical officer, if claiming the relaxation under PwD category
or
PwD Certificate regarding physical limitation in an examination to write as per Annexure given in Information Bulletin, if claiming the relaxation under PwD category.
e. A simple transparent Ball Point Pen.
How to Prepare for JEE Main Exam 2023
- Understand the exam format: Familiarize yourself with the structure and content of the JEE Main exam, including the types of questions that are asked, the number of sections and questions, and the time allowed for each section.
- Develop a study plan: Give sufficient time to each topic as per their weightage in the exam. Practice the number of sample questions, as much as you can while strictly following exact time limits.
- Review the syllabus: Make sure you understand the topics that will be covered on the JEE Main exam and focus your studies on these areas.
- Practice previous year’s question papers: Solving previous year’s question papers can help you get a feel for the types of questions that are asked on the exam and improve your time management skills.
- Seek guidance from a tutor or mentor: Consider seeking guidance from a tutor or mentor who can help you clarify any concepts that you are struggling with and provide additional practice and support.
- Take care of your physical and mental health: It’s important to take care of your physical and mental health while preparing for the JEE Main exam. Eat healthy food, do have some physical activity, have good sleep. These will help to reduce your stress levels.
- Most important, Keep motivated all the time. Dream to have a seat and studying in a prestigious institution in India.
